Yes indeed this is not a typo or a misrepresentation! This Mclaren is a 1 owner car with 55,000 original miles! A few weeks ago the original owner of this vehicle traded this beauty at a Ford Store for a brand new 2009 Shelby Mustang. After 22 years of ownership it was time to move on. We spoke with the Manager at the Ford store and he mentioned that the owner was heart broken and not in favor of doing such, but it was time for him to move on. Im sure a few tears were shed, and perhaps even an aching heart, and the result is a rare opportunity for YOU to own one of the most rare Mustangs ever produced!
Those of you who are reading this description are well aware that this rare Mustang was produced in limited numbers and, nowadays, EXTREMELY difficult to find in clean and excellent running condition. This breathtaking Mclaren is a perfect match to anybody looking for a garage kept Mclaren that was very much loved for. It doesnt take a genuis to realize that another Mclaren as clean as this one will not be offered for sale anytime soon. After extensive research using different car collector databases we have gathered that since 2006 only 12 documented, clean, low mileage Mclarens ( under 60,000 miles) were sold and each for well over $15,000. A white 28,000 Mclaren sold for $32,500 and another 44,000 mile Mclaren sold for $27,500. After being offered for sale, te cars only lasted less than one month before being snagged by the few collectors who appreciate one of the finest Mustangs built.
Born in an era that featured cars like the 280zx and the 300zx, the IROC Z, Supras, and Monte Carlos, the Ford Mustang 5.0 was an affordable high performance car that looked great, reliable, inexpensive to maintain, and a BLAST to drive. Ford Mustangs outsold their competitors by landslide. With the soaring success of the Mustang 5.0 LX/GT, Saleen and MCLAREN decided to partake in the action and assembled unique models in limited productions. MECHANICALLY
This MCLAREN drives excellent. When turning the ignition the car starts right up and sounds healthy and strong. The idle is steady at 800 rpm, and reving the engine is like pure horsepower music. The 5 speed manual transmission shifts perfectly without grinding any gears and the clutch has plenty of life. The tires and brakes are good. The alignment is straight as an arrow and even at high speeds of 85mph the car is comfortable, smooth and quiet. All power options work such as windows, locks, CD, etc etc etc. The AC is ice cold, and all lights/signals work. For a 22 year old car, this MCLAREN is in great running condition and should not require any repairs at all.
INTERIOR
The interior of this beauty is remarkably clean. The seats are in excellent condition and are 100% original. The leather is very clean. The carpet is spotless, the door panels are very clean, the dashboard is perfect witout any cracks, and all other interior components are intact and in very clean condition. There are no loose or missing parts as the pictures will clearly show. A non smokers car that does not have any foul odors. Keep in mind this car was garage kept and well taken care of.
EXTERIOR
As this car was garage kept and detailed often, the silver paint still shines beatifully deep and glossy. There are absolutley no dents and only very little wear and tear. For a 22 year old car this exterior is in outstanding condition. The original top is in good condition and still shows very clean and straight.
